Radar systems are an essential technology for a wide range of applications, including autonomous driving, navigation, and surveillance. The development of radar systems requires a deep understanding of the underlying physics and signal processing techniques. LIDAR systems also play a crucial role in these applications, as they provide high-resolution 3D imaging that complements the capabilities of radar systems.
At Dr. Omran Engineering Office, we have a wealth of experience in developing radar and LIDAR systems for various industries. One of the key examples of our experience is the development of a radar system for the police that automatically detects any change in setup angle using a street mathematical model and informs the police using a Telegram message. This system allows the police to quickly detect and respond to any changes in the environment, such as changes in traffic patterns or the presence of suspicious vehicles.
As an electrical engineer with experience in the development of radar systems for Continental and working as an analysis engineer between BMW and Continental, we have gained extensive knowledge in this field. Our experience includes the development of transmitted and received signals using special digital signal processing techniques to achieve high resolution, and the analysis of LIDAR point cloud data to complement the radar information. This includes using Matlab and Simulink for complicated system analysis, which is essential for the design and optimization of radar and LIDAR systems.
One of the key challenges in radar and LIDAR systems development is achieving the desired level of performance while meeting the constraints of cost, size, and power consumption. This requires a deep understanding of the trade-offs in digital signal processing (DSP) involved and the ability to optimize the system design. We have experience developing key performance indicators (KPIs) to judge radar and LIDAR systems, which allows for a thorough assessment of the system and to use time of flight (TOF) cameras for other applications.
